This segment of The Today Show, originally broadcast on October  13, 1999, features Facing History and Ourselves classrooms in New York and Boston and discussions with students and teachers about Facing History's lessons of civics, personal responsibility, and moral judgment.  Director Margot Stern Strom explains the origins and philosophy of Facing History. The video also introduces the multimedia exhibit Choosing to Participate.
