Rebecca Hamilton

Australia

Rebecca Hamilton

Rebecca Hamilton is an Australian human rights activist, writer, and lawyer. While a law student at Harvard, Rebecca Hamilton helped mobilize the community to take action against the genocide in Sudan, by co-founding Darfur Action Group. Hamilton continues her work with Darfur and human rights as a fellow at Open Society Institute and is writing a book about the impact of the Darfur advocacy movement.

Hamilton spoke about the need to build a permanent anti-genocide constituency at a Harvard Law School/Facing History and Ourselves conference. Below is a video of her talk.
