You've read stories of upstanders [1], watched their videos [2], seen their art [3].
Now you can add your own story...
Do you know someone who speaks out? Does the right thing? Makes the world a better place to be? Tell us about them!
Share your Upstander's story and tell us why you think your nominee(s) deserves to be recognized.
Your entry should answer the following questions:
- How do you know the person/group that you are honoring?
- How have they impacted you and your community?
- What lessons can be learned from their actions?
Upstanders who reside in the greater Chicago area will be considered for the photography exhibition that will be on display as part of the Choosing to Participate exhibition at Harold Washington Library Fall 2012.
