Volunteer to be a Guide

Share your passion for education, public service, and storytelling. Join us to learn more about the stories behind Choosing to Participate and gain skills to lead groups of students and adults through the exhibition.

Guide Commitment:
  • Attend one training session
  • Attend one exhibition walkthrough at the Boston Public Library in Copley Square
  • Lead at least six tours between February and May 2008 at the Boston Public Library in Copley Square

Qualifications:

  • Have experience presenting in front of large groups, or have some teaching experience
  • Feel at ease interacting with people of all ages, particularly students age 11-18
  • Are committed to the themes of Choosing to Participate
  • Have a good sense of humor

Previous familiarity with Facing History and Ourselves is helpful, but not required.
