United States

Tim Evans

Teacher, Volunteer

Timothy Evans challenges his students to get excited about learning and inspires them, whether it’s through innovative games, his own enthusiasm for the topic or a keen sense of humor. His history class not only teaches students the material but demonstrates how to apply the content to their present-day lives and encourages them to become involved with civic activities.

Outside the classroom, Tim’s genuine concern for social justice and human rights goes well beyond donations to organizations. When he heard about the “Lost Boys” of Sudan, he helped develop a fund to make their transition from Darfur to Cleveland smoother. Genuine concern for others is what motivates Tim with boundless energy. He does not have an agenda—he sees the need from the grassroots level and becomes involved.

“Tim inspires his students through his genuine concern for others.”
