Phillip and Sandy Gordon

Optimism is one of Philip and Sandy’s defining qualities. Their contributions to education and the arts are inspirational. After retiring, Philip created EdVestors, which connects individual donors and foundations to effective but often unsung initiatives in Boston and Lowell schools. EdVestors has brought over $4 million into the schools since 2002. He also launched a $100,000 annual award for the most improved Boston Public School. Sandy is a founding board member and chair of the Foundation Board of Boston Arts Academy, the city’s first high school for the visual and performing arts, which is recognized as a national model of innovation. Philip and Sandy demonstrate by example that you can start again and make a difference in your community if you have the will, the ideas, and the commitment.
Philip and Sandy are founding board members of Facing History and Ourselves, and were instrumental in bringing Facing History’s work to the international level
