Mother Caroline Academy

After watching the film Not in Our Town, the students from Mother Caroline Academy & Education Center Community Organizing Club initiated a campaign called “Spread the Peace. ” The girls contacted the media and talked to family, friends, and community organizations. On May 14th, the entire school community “Spread the Peace” by encouraging Grove Hall neighbors to join them in displaying a peace sign they created. The students hoped these signs would serve as a symbol of community, solidarity, and peace — showing the power of working together. These students not only intend to be leaders when they are grown, they are leaders right now.
