LaJean Ray

Director, Fatima Family Center, Catholic Charities Community Services

LaJean Ray is passionate about families, especially children and teens. As director of the Fatima Family Center in Cleveland’s Hough neighborhood, LaJean spreads the idea of working together to build strong families and communities. Under her leadership, Fatima received a special award from the Annie E. Casey Foundation for improving the odds for vulnerable children by fostering strong, capable, and economically successful families.

LaJean and Fatima support many kinds of individual and family growth: programs that improve academic, social, and leadership skills including trips to colleges and universities so teens can envision their future there, and student trips to Africa to explore their roots and learn about different cultures.

LaJean Ray is an upstanding woman of character and commitment who is determined to make the world a better place.
