Casey Ehrlich

While watching an endless stream of stories about global warming, species loss, and pollution on Earth Day, my 15-year-old daughter, Casey, asked the most amazing question. “Children must be so afraid about their future when they hear this news. What can I do to help them express and empower themselves?”

She had a website up and running three days later.

Young people design and send Casey fabric squares that reflect their passion for the environment. Casey brought the project to her own school, and then contacted the Boys and Girls Club, Big Brother, and several local schools. Soon artwork for the blankets started pouring in. I suspect our dining room will forever be full of beautiful squares of children’s artwork. Nothing could make me more proud!
