Reflections

Choosing to Participate is a catalyst for conversation about how we treat each other, how we should live together, and what our choices mean. The choices people make, both large and small, may not seem important at the time, but little by little they shape us as individuals and responsible global citizens.

This area of the Choosing to Participate website provides you with the opportunity to share personal experiences and reflect on choices you have made in your own life. Maybe you chose to take action to make things better. Or maybe you chose not to act and hoped others would. Whether we act positively, negatively or choose to do nothing, each of us makes choices everyday. And the choices we make do matter.

Below, you can read reflections from others who have addressed the following questions:
Think about a time when you have been in a situation where you had a chance to participate either positively or negatively. What choice did you make? Thinking about it now, what would you do differently?
We encourage you to read these stories and share your own reflection.
