Be the Change

Be the ChangeBe the Change: Upstanders for Human Rights is a Facing History and Ourselves website that presents the remarkable stories of five Reebok Human Rights Award winners.  These young men and women have created positive change in their countries through nonviolent means, and have all done so before the age of thirty.

Thousands of students from around the world have already experienced this interactive website. Students first learn about the five upstanders and then add their own thoughts and opinions on a diverse range of social justice and human rights issues.

The site also features podcasts, suggestions on how to get involved, a teachers’ section with resources and activities for the classroom, and additional profiles of young people who have made a difference—ordinary individuals who have done extraordinary things.
